We only hire drivers who have maintained a safe driving record, free of accidents and moving violations.
All drivers must undergo a comprehensive background check prior to their employment with David Thomas Tours, which includes:
1) Criminal Background Check
2) FBI Fingerprinting
3) Child Abuse Clearance
4) Past Employment Reference Checks
5) Pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
Drivers receive rigorous "Customer Care" training assuring that our passengers get top priority treatment. Drivers are all trained and certified to drive each vehicle in our fleet. Driver safety training and random drug & alcohol testing is an ongoing process at David Thomas Tours.
NOT ALL MOTORCOACH COMPANIES ARE EQUALLY SAFE.
David Thomas Tours owns and operates it's own state-of-the-art, full-service, on-premise maintenance facility. As part of our preventative maintenance program, every vehicle is inspected after each trip and is serviced at regular intervals. Any defects that are found are corrected and recorded. In addition, every bus is pre-trip inspected by the driver before departure and post trip inspected after returning to the garage. David Thomas Tours maintains the BEST safety record of all motorcoach companies nationally according to U.S. Department of Tours safety ratings. Check safety, insurance and compliance records by going to U.S. Department of Transportation web site and entering a company’s USDOT number. David Thomas Tours' USDOT number is 680349. David Thomas Tours is also a Department of Defense (DOD) approved motorcoach carrier with their highest safety rating.
Before selecting a motorcoach carrier it is highly recommended that you ask for their USDOT number and check how safe they are for yourself. It is also recommended to visit their facility and inspect their vehicles and their maintenance facility. This will guarantee to be an eye opening experience.
